My father was in ICU in the middle of May 2010. He wasn't able to talk, eat or drink. I was giving my uncle an update on his condition and he emailed me the Send Out Cards website. It took me the next day to check it out, research, think about it and once I made up my mind to join that was it! I don't have good handwriting so creating a card, typing a personal message and having someone else print, stuff and mail the card in the mail is great. That means that I'll never forget those who don't have email. By the way, my father is home and is doing good. Now I want to go back to when I decided to make the change in my life and do good things for people. Back in November 2004 I worked full time as a bookkeeper at a manufacturing company. A new receptionist started not too long before. I had a premonition that someone was going to have a seizure but I didn't know who. One day when I was at work the receptionist had a seizure. I didn't know what to do but others in the building did. Not too long after that one morning my sister with Mosiac Down Syndrome out of no where had a seizure. My mom was so upset and didn't know what to do. Since I experienced this at work and what to do I showed my mom what to do and calmed her down. My sister was able to go on medicine for seizures and they have been under control since February 2005. Also, my mother had a brain tumor that she had to have emergency surgery on right around Christmas 2005. She was living out of state at the time. I flew out to be with her, it wasn't cancerous but she made it through the surgery. Since 2004 I try my best to love everyone unconditionally, enjoy the time I get to spend with people when I can and to act on any thoughts I have to reach out to others and to help others do the same. You won't regret doing it and you feel good in the process.
