Review on Occupy Wall Street

Occupy Wall Street is spreading all over the US. Millions of people all over the USA are sick and tired of just trying to get by. We need jobs. We bailed big businesses out, what was our reward? No jobs, rising cost of living, politicians that just cannot agree. WTF? Really, I cannot afford the gas or time to march in one of the many protests popping up all over, but I will voice my opinion and share important information about this modern revolution.

Hi Katrina, I am one of the 99 weeker's and I am afraid my unemployment benefits are at the end. The government bail out made sure the greedy stay that way and won't even give us a second look. Instead we get welfare. I can only say Wow! I worked all my life and spending many of those years working upwards of 60 to 70 hours a week and many times working more. I got cut from my job in favor of someone much younger and for allot less money and now no one will even look at my resume because I am considered a high risk as because I had to file a chapter 7 due to all of this. I am glad you are an advocate but I am afraid it's hopeless. You see in our government it's all about the money and who has it and who can benefit the most from it. I'm afraid it's a stacked deck!!!

Yes, the deck does seem to be stacked, but if we sit on our asses and don't at least speak up, it will never have a chance to change. I am a 99er as well, I know your pain. Age, the fact that I haven't worked for a long time, and lack of documented education, and credit score, put my resumes and applications to the bottom of the pile as well. Honestly, I think they expect us to just give up and give in. As far as welfare, we don't qualify for any kind of assistance, since our kids are grown and gone. Thank heavens my husband still has a job!

Thanks for the response Katrina, I have been wanting to start speaking up myself and then I read this Rev-Page that led me to your blog. (Very happy for that). Gave me a great place to start. :) They are marching on Philadelphia this week and I will be stopping by to get some documented statements from some people myself. I will update you on what happens.

This movement seems to be gaining momentum! People are joining in all over the USA and the world. But their message seems to not be clear.

Open Question: What do you think they are protesting for?

No one knows what they are protesting for? No one cares to even guess?
