Finally, Lenovo has decided to jump into the pool of smartphones market. Lenovo is the second largest PC maker in the international market and has never manufactured a smartphone till date. However, with S2 Lenovo has finally broken the barriers and developed a smartphone which is looking to be quite promising for the market. The launch of S2 was announced at a press conference in Las Vegas by the company. The company has claimed that the phone is manufactured with best configurations in its class and will be able to run some of the high-standard mobile applications.
The S2 will be running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will be coming with dual-core 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The mobile phone will be featuring with an 8 megapixel camera and 0.3 megapixel (VGA) front camera for video conferencing. With all the high class software development incorporated into the smartphone from Lenovo it will be highly secure which will make it easier for the users to operate mobile applications requiring secure mediums. It will be able to sync photos, videos and music with Lenovo computers for easy sharing of files. With 1GB of RAM in higher end model it will provide excellent operating facility for High-end mobile games and applications. Mobile applications will look lively with a 3.8 inch screen having a resolution of 800X480.
Although the phone will be launched immediately in China but no information has been issued about the pricing and shipping of the device as of now.
