Kennedy half dollars, first minted in 1964, are fifty-cent coins currently issued by the U.S. Mint to honor late President John F. Kennedy. The obverse shows the left portrait of John F. Kennedy designed by Gilroy Roberts and the reverse represents the presidential seal designed by Frank Gasparro.
