I would not recommend it. It is a security risk. Who knows what kind of info this program is gathering from your computer. Even if it does not collect sensitive info. What happens is someone hacks this site...

I've been a member since 2006 and never had a problem. That doesn't mean a problem couldn't crop up, however...At this point I'm running it. I understand there is a risk. I have a virus protector that stops bad scripts.

always is risk....that's true...I run it until 2008 and never have problems that's also true... and this is only one program when you do nothing :) - just install and forget - from my point of view, of course...

Sounds good but that program would be listed as malware, if you are using adware protection it would pick it up and warn you against it.

I do run malware. My malware does not warm me against it. Neither does my virus protector. I'm not saying there isn't a risk. There is always a risk.
I downloaded a program from one of the large authors the other day. I ran my virus that night, the next morning my virus had deleted it. Said the program had a virus. I am not mentioning the name of the program.

I wouldn't suggest this either. You don't exactly say WHAT it does. I can't imagine what information it is sharing.

well, go to page and read what it does. Mostly access to networks and response speed of sites. And, they prefer dial-up connection for peers. But, of course, if you're paranoid maniac, go away from that....

They are primarily checking access to networks, speed of response, etc. They like a variety of connection speeds from dial-up to broadband. They like countries, as well as states. I have more trouble with sites we think we can trust, than all the time I've had Peer Gomez. However, again, each person must make their own decision.

They can also decide not to pay you and support is non-existent.

well, they can decide everything they want, that's fact. But last few years I get money to my paypal ID regularly from them. This doesn't mean that it'll last for ever
