Your Easy Tutorial for Creating Box Braids

Based on hair texture and preferences, there are many ways for creating box braids. It does need a lot of patience initially, but once you master it, you can make your box braids in the shortest period. Let's have a look at the tutorial for making the box braids quickly:

 

As stated above, the box braids can be prepared from natural as well as add on extensions. Will start with natural hair first. The tutorial is best for beginners, and even if your hair strands are not lengthy, the box braids for short hair are quite trendy. Let's have a look at a step by step process to try:

 

 Step 1: Prepare your hair: It does not matter at all which style you are trying. It's good to start with detangled and freshly washed hair. Now you can apply leave-in moisturizer before you start styling your hair.

 

Step 2: Blow-dry: The styling becomes a lot easier if you blow-dry your hair lightly with the help of a comb attachment and your dryer.

 

Step 3: Hair Parting: From the back of your head, start the styling and work forward by drawing a horizontal straight line from one side of the head to the other. With the help of a claw clip, try keeping your hair corralled and start working around the head.

 

Step 4: Start Braiding: Horizontal lens created, now box out small hair sections vertically. Here it would help if you had a line across, and the shorter liens will be going down.

The straight lines are important for making smooth-looking and clean box braids. Now you can braid through every square straight hair down, and this is it! The bigger your box is, the thicker your braid will be, and in the end, you will have fewer braids only.

Step 1: Prepare your hair via washing, detangling and blow-drying.

Step 2: Keep your hair extensions ready with you, and once your hairs are ready for styling, the laying out extensions can be started. Every braid requires a big pile of hair extensions about half an inch wider.

Step 3: Parting of your hair: Now, part your hair sections like a line across and short lines down.

 

Step 4: Add hair extensions: Pick up a hair extension strip and then fold it in half. As you will be applying the traditional braiding method of three-strand, think of the hair as your arm and every two sides of the extensions for the other two arms.

 

Step 4: You can start braiding by placing your sectioned hairpieces in between the hair folds and start weaving them together like a regular braid.

 

Step 5: Now, keep going and repeat the process for every section.
