World of Soccer: Wales Welcomes First Canadian Member

In the world of soccer, we often come across some of the most extraordinary players that manage to surprise us every day and leave their mark in sports history. And Noah Eisenberg might be the next big thing.
Born in Montreal, Noah Eisenberg is the first Canadian
professional soccer player to sign an official contract with the professional
Wales soccer team- playing as the central attacking midfielder for Llangefni
Town FC. This 22-year-old has come a long way in his soccer journey, displaying
his talents in Belgium, Northern Ireland, the United States, and now plans to
leave his mark in Wales.
From a very young age, Eisenberg has always been passionate
about the idea of playing soccer professionally for a living. Hence, his
parents spared no effort to make his dreams come true, so they enrolled him in
a soccer club where he could get the necessary training he needed to take the
first step towards his goal. Later in life, he attended St. George's School of
Montreal, where he was the captain of the school's soccer team. At the age of
17, Eisenberg was offered a two-year scholarship for soccer talents, which he
ended up dividing between Bridgton Academy in Maine and Tilton School in New
Hampshire, where he received a further extension on his scholarship. Additionally,
he also continued his education at the Birmingham Southern College, Alabama.
After a year, he was given the opportunity to play for the
Belgium First Division A Club Waasland Beveren and had to relocate to Europe.
During the next couple of years, he had indulged in playing and training with
all kinds of teams such as the Northern Irish Club Derriaghy FC and then moving
away in August 2019 to the Lurgan Celtic to showcase his skills further.
According to Vanhoomissen, who had coached the early career of the Belgian
international striker Romelu Lukaku, "Noah is a great attacking central
midfielder. He has great vision and great technique. He also has a fantastic
shot."
Naturally, his talents have been highly desired by every
team, which is why he left North Ireland and decided to come to Wales for a
trial with the Llangefni Town. Over there, Eisenberg had successfully managed
to impress the team and was offered a contract to play alongside them.
Unfortunately, he was unable to sign before the transfer window had closed.
Consequently, he ended up signing with Dakota Fusion, a North Dakota-based club
which played in the North Conference division of the American National Premier
Soccer League. However, the season never came to be and was canceled due to the
Coronavirus pandemic.
This is where he was once again opened to the opportunity to
sign with eth Llangefni Town in July 2020- yet there is still an ongoing debate
on when it will be safe enough for them to play a season in the upcoming year.
