Before you go shopping for wooden floor in gurgaon for your home, you need to know a few things that will make your investment more meaningful and befitting of the money you choose to put on it, because hey you didn't choose to tile or mosaic the floor because you want something better. And knowing these things before buying wooden flooring in Gurgaon is something we will definitely advise you to do. So, let’s get started.

What are the common types of wooden flooring?

Yes, wooden flooring is not just this one thing that you buy from the shop and have someone come and install it for you. There are different options in the market.

The first is laminate wooden flooring. This is the cheapest option of all, but mind you it is super cheap so you will still have a stylish floor that doesn't look like you cut costs. But being the cheapest wooden flooring available, sometimes you wish you invested more and got engineered wood. Engineered wood is second on our list.

Technically this is second on terms of cost. But the price difference is way wide than you may have imagined. But that said, if you don't a little more pizzaz in your room then you've got to spend some too.

Finally, the costliest and best option in market is real solid wood. This is hard to get, hence very expensive. Also, price depends on hardness. The harder wood you get the costlier it will be. Solid wood and engineered wood xan be polished to restore original wood grain and shine. Laminated wooden flooring is different.  It needs a different care and shine regimen.

Fitting patterns

How do the wooden planks fit together? Some wooden flooring materials come in tongue-and-groove partners, and then there is click-lock pattern which works just as fine, but depending on how good you are at DIY stuff, if that is what you plan on doing. Otherwise, the fitting patterns won't matter much other than adding to your installation cost because some patterns take more time to fit.

Deciding how much wooden flooring you need to cover the floor

Wooden flooring is available in packs that specify the total coverage area. Figure out your room's floor size in square meter and round it up to the next number just to be on the safe side so that you don't buy less, a little more won't hurt but if you fall short you will have to go out and buy some more, which is not ideal. If you need help consult with the wooden flooring dealer in your area and they may be able to help you.
