Will you donate to a cause this summer?
Having
a comfortable life sometimes make us so ignorant that we forget about those who
need society’s support. It has been rightly said that helping hands are better
than praying lips and if there’s anything that can add more meaning to all the
success that we achieve, it is by showing some kindness and love to those in
need.

Akshaya
Patra, an NGO working in various states such as Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat
and seven other states, gives us one such opportunity to feed the children with
healthy and delicious mid-day meals which are otherwise not affordable for
them. You’ll be surprised by the fact that through this NGO, you can sponsor a
child for a year just at Rs 950. So this is the right moment to give these kids
the wings to fly and fulfil their dreams.
A better future
Many
kids like Sakshi from Gujarat are very clear and passionate about their life
goals. Sakshi studies in Std. VII in Maa Gayatri Primary School, Vadodara and
aims to become a teacher. She wishes to educate as many children as she can and
help them guide toward a bright future. She is an all-rounder. She has great
interest in hockey and aims of playing in defensive position for India. Sakshi
is a beneficiary of this NGO in
Gujarat and
is truly ahead on the path of creating a better future for herself and the
society. There are many other kids like Sakshi, who are waiting and hoping for
a helping hand like yours, so that the spark in their eyes isn’t lost because
of lack of money or classroom hunger. So sponsoring a child is totally worth
the investment.
Every kid wants to make their parents
proud
Parents always want their children to grow up
as successful individuals and children want to make their parents proud. A
Standard VII student Riddhi Barot
studying in Narmad Primary School, Saradnagar Tarsali, Vadodara, is one such
child. She has a driving force in the form of her sky-high aspirations. She dreams
of becoming a pilot to soar the skies. She says that the mid-day meals provided
by Akshaya Patra are very tasty and nutritious. If the meals were not provided,
students would fall ill and lose out on studying and playing. So if each one of
us sponsors just one child, we can make a huge difference overall. It's up to
us, whether or not to support them in realising their dreams.
If not us,
who would help?
If we think only for ourselves, we
need to think again. We need to realise that we are a part of society and we
all have some responsibilities towards it. If we won't come forward and help
those in need, who will? So let us embrace the humanitarian cause and help in
spreading this venture of mid-day
meals in Gujarat to more areas of
the country this summer before the schools re-open.
Let's take a pledge of sponsoring at
least one child a year. Donate now!
