Why Your Firm Must Have a Strong SEO Strategy

Most people understand the importance of using SEO to drive potential clients to a particular web site or page. What many do not understand is why it is so important. More specifically, why are law firm SEO services so important to a firm’s continued growth and success?

Here are a few observations that answer both questions.

No SEO or Poor SEO = Odd Man Out

It is no longer sufficient to slap together some blog posts, a list of clients, a testimonial or two and a few headshots of partners to impress the average consumer. One good thing about the internet is that the average user can do a lot more research, easier.

If your firm lags in SEO, they will not rank highly in search results and your web site will not get accessed. Since most consumers at least review a business they might work with via their web site, not having one that is easily accessed is a prescription for a lost potential customer.

Your Competitors are Doing It

That fact alone should end most conversations regarding the merit of SEO. If your competitors are doing it and ranking highly in search results and you are not, they get exposure to potential customers that you do not. It is that simple.

Greater Exposure

Good SEO increases your search matches and thus your exposure. Not only do you get the potential client searching for exactly what you offer, but you may also get the customer who uses different terms for the same search results. Additionally, you will collect those looking for generic terms. All three of those result in greater exposure to a larger audience than almost any other form of advertising.

Your Customers are Looking for You

When your competitor advertises on late-night television, their reach is anyone up watching TV and paying attention. The same applies to every other form of advertising. You are throwing a broad net over a potential audience pool and hoping that net captures a portion of that audience .

With SEO, your audience is already looking for you (or your competitor if your SEO is not effective.) They do not need to be convinced to call, they are, in effect calling, via their searching on SEO terms and then visiting your site. All you have to do is not lose them, but you never get there without a good SEO strategy.

Great law firm SEO services do more than get you noticed on a web page showing search results. They become the driver for most of your marketing; do without it and you will lag.
