Why You Should Contract With a Commercial Cleaning Service

by Kristen White Blogger

Using commercial cleaning services helps you convey a positive image for your business. A first impression is always a lasting one and a clean well-maintained workplace sends a message to prospective customers, business partners, and visitors that your company is professional and well-managed.

Offices should look and smell nice. And companies are placing more emphasis on disinfection due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Companies can also attest that using a professional firm pays off in the long run instead of doing the work in-house.  These are some questions to ask while you are looking for commercial cleaning services.

Plan Customized For Your Budget

Every company has different requirements. So, you need to ask a cleaning company to give you an estimate based on your needs. Explain what your priorities are and be frank about your budget so companies can recommend a service plan that is within an affordable price range for you.

Cleaning Frequency

Different areas of your facility require different cleaning schedules. For example, conference and meeting rooms that are lightly used require less frequent cleaning than offices and workstations where employees spend much of their day. Break rooms and kitchens are high-traffic areas that need frequent cleaning as are employee locker rooms.

Other Facilities Services

Be sure to ask the commercial cleaning companies you meet with about additional services. For example, do they disinfect when they clean, or do they charge extra? Do they provide deep cleaning services? For instance, if an employee tests positive for COVID-19, can they thoroughly deep clean and disinfect your office so it safe for employees to return to work and for suppliers and customers to visit? Do they offer a surface protection program that can guard against infection for a specified length of time?

What about other facility management services such as landscaping, pest control, HVAC maintenance and supply inventory/purchasing? If you “bundle” one or more facility services with your cleaning and disinfection service, you can probably negotiate a lower cost and you only have one invoice to pay.
