A camera /lens mount is a mechanical and electrical interface that lies between the camera body and the lens. These are available in the market and are interchangeable, with flexible fitting to all single lens, and are primarily used in photography or movies. Modern still camera lens are of the bayonet type. Once inserted these lenses are fastened by turning it a small amount and locked in place by a spring-loaded pin that can be operated to remove the lens. Camera mounts have the capability to fit in bayonet types as well.

Fixing all lens type
In this competitive world where companies have a tight fight on levels of products peddling. They design company cameras such that only their company lens could fit in the lens adjustments but with the immersion of camera mounts and their flexible designing any lens type can be fitted on any camera design.

Also known as adapters, camera mounts can be fitted with any camera with an adjustment mechanism designed on their circumference, once the adapter is attached to the camera body the lens can be easily attached to the adapter.

Camera mounts help to upgrade the camera and quality. For instance, you can change the older lenses replacing with new finest quality lenses and to serve this purpose, camera mounts are widely used among photographers.

Film To Digital Photography
With immersion of the new camera ‘a digital SLR’, and like the older film camera, some die-hard photographers or film makers have made possible to use many of the same lenses by resorting to adapters. Though here, electronic settings of the camera will not function, however, but the lens will work when focused manually. And this how they transition from film to digital photography.

Also, rather than purchasing the same brand lens, you can buy an adapter/mount along with the desired lens type in budget less than the actual cost of branded lens. So always make a smart choice when choosing any Automation Machine Products.

Macro Photography
Another good use of adapter is reverse back macro photography, wherein you don’t always require a macro lens type to perform the task. This is sometimes called a bayonet-to-standard thread adapter that performs the job just by using the adapter to reverse the existing lends type and focus on the macro objects as the inside of the lens is now the outside. You can use a UV filter to provide protection from dirt collation on the lens.
