In earlier times, people were not aware of the availability of contact lenses and were more fond of glasses or spectacle but due to technical advancement and modernization, people love contact lenses to wear. It does not means that people who are suffering from ocular disturbances can wear contact lenses infact, the people who want contact lenses for cosmetic effects especially changing iris color also use contact lenses and the eyes looks very beautiful with the lenses.

First time, contact lenses were introduced and used in United States due to the convenient nature and cosmetic values. Earlier people feel difficulties and discomfort in wearing the contact lenses but the discomfort got underweight on comparison with the benefits of contact lenses. Convenience & comfortness- as compared to glasses, contact lenses are more comfortable to wear because the glasses forces and pinches on the temples and nose.

Peripheral vision- glasses does not offer a wide vision and the contact lenses offer the wider vision. People who wear glasses can not see in a wider area and if they even try to look wider then the vision get blocked or distorted vision but in case of contact lenses, the eyes work along with the contact lenses and can have the clear vision.

Natural vision- the glasses offer an indirect vision with means that there is a distance between the eyes and the outer world but the contact lenses are in direct contact with the eyes and offers a natural vision to the eyes.

Contact lenses also offer advantages over the glasses because it also helps people at the office or workplace because in some occupation, people have to wear headgears. Contact lenses are good for the sports person and it will not hinder the sports.

There are several companies who manufacture contact lenses for iris which enhance the seeing quality of the eyes and also raise the cosmetic appearance of eyes. Some people wants to change the eye color and think that is it possible to change the eye colorbut yes, its true there are different companies who offer different contact lenses that changes your eye color. They offer different coloured contact lenses but sea green, ice gray, baby blue, olive green, amber color, light brown and many more.
