Why is there a need of Employment Lawyer
by Ross Barkely BloggerFirst of all, we need to understand “what is employment law?” then
we can make an appropriate decision of whether there is actual need of
employment lawyer or not. Employment law covers the rights as well as duties of
both the employees and employer. It also includes rights of employees, labor
law, employee’s safety etc. Usually, there are some common legal issues which
are; termination without any prior notice, sufficient compensation, health and
safety issues due to work environment.
Now the question is what’s the exact role of an employment lawyer
to overcome these legal issues?
Here, kindly note that any lawyer or law degree holder cannot be
an employment lawyer, to become an employment lawyer they need to complete one
specialty course in employment field i.e. professional law degree program to
get the undergraduate degree.
We can say that employment lawyer is a mediator between employees
and employer, there are many employment law firms also who work for many organizations.
They make and re-check all the documentation work to maintain a healthy
relationship between employees and employer. At the time of making an agreement
lawyer need to consider all the perspective of employer and employees because
they always need to find out middle one and proper solution which is beneficial
to both of them.
Many times employer does not treat employees fairly and even not
give them their basic rights, in such situation employees cannot raise their
voice against the employer and don’t have any option to get back their rights.
In this case, employment lawyer plays a very important role by supporting
employees and by raising their complaints/problems in front of higher
authorities.
Except for internal problems, employment lawyer also represents
the employer in some external legal issues as well.
