Why Is Personal Or Everyday Hygiene Important

by jyoti singh digital marketer

Introduction

I count myself among those who like to think I'm pretty clean. I frequently shower, wash my hands whenever it seems necessary, and generally feel okay about my personal hygiene. Still, I've noticed that in the past few weeks things have gotten a little worse here in New York City. Restaurants and coffee shops seem to be less vigilant about handwashing than they were before COVID-19, and I often find myself walking into places where everyone is coughing without covering their mouths. That's why I decided to write this post on the importance of personal hygiene—it's as good of a time as ever for reminding people that health starts with cleanliness!

Washing your hands

  • Wash your hands before eating. This is the most important time to wash your hands because you don't want to get sick from touching food that has germs on it.

  • Wash your hands after using the bathroom. After using the bathroom, it is important that you wash your hands so that you don't spread bacteria from feces (poop) to other parts of your body or other surfaces in contact with people who will use them afterward.

  • Wash your hands after sneezing or coughing into a tissue and then tossing it into an open garbage bin instead of just leaving it there to fester until someone else uses the same space and gets sick themselves because they touched the same surface as someone who was carrying germs from their nose or mouth where they released those droplets when coughing/sneezing occurred earlier...you can see how quickly things could start going downhill if proper hygiene wasn't practiced regularly by everyone!

  • Why is it important to wash your hands?

Washing hands is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of germs, especially in public restrooms and social settings where many people come in contact with each other. It's a simple habit that can save you from common illnesses like colds, flu and food poisoning!

Conclusion

We hope you’ve discovered some new information and tips to help you practice good hygiene. Personal hygiene is one of the most important aspects of a healthy lifestyle, and we should all take care to ensure that we’re practicing it—not only for ourselves, but for our friends, our families, and everyone around us.
