Why External Looks on a Smart TV Matter

by Tanjni Pache Content Writer
I decided to not do the obvious- buy a TV as per looks. Gone are the days when you judged a book by its cover; with modernisation, every aspect should be considered. You won’t say it out loud, but deep down you definitely want your TV to look ravishing. And why not? It’s big and when not in use can be deemed as a piece of décor. Of course, that doesn’t rule out the fact that its features shouldn’t be top notch. I will elaborate on my buying the TCL P6 50 inch Ultra HD TV and why my decision helped me a lot. So my last TV was a plasma TV which, at its time looked quite good, but in today’s time and preferences, it’s totally outdated, so naturally, I had to upgrade.

Therefore, I decided to go brand which is popular and has specifically provided a modern touch to their TV models. It didn’t take me much time to consider TCL. So going by their wide range of models I chose the one which looks exquisite and is technologically sound. To make the buy, choosing the size was the foremost option. So I chose it for my living room which is quite spacious. For the 12X18 feet size, a 50-inch screen with 4K resolution does pretty well. I placed it in such a place which is approximately 7-9 feet distant from the couch so that I can experience the spectacular UHD at its best.

Now comes the look of the TV. I always preferred the metallic finish right from the time I had the first glimpse of it. The glossy, plastic black seems so clichéd. In fact, the pitch black does remain the most classic colour, but to me, the metallic shade does better as it gives out a giant frame effect. Plus it has a super slim bezel which gives more screen space. The thickness is merely 9.9 mm which makes it absolutely super slim and sleek. With its edges, it gets more contemporary in its design.

Since this was the design part, its technological aspects are equally amazing. When I talk about its display aspects, there is the-

4K - The brilliance of 4K can be realised only by the first-hand experience. Each and every detail becomes so compelling that you won’t be able to turn your face away for a moment while watching a movie or TV episode. There are contents being shot with 4K cams, so they are the best ones to experience.

Micro-dimming - No halo, no exorbitant luminosity, perfectly balanced picture quality; all of which can be controlled by micro dimming. You can easily control it from the local dimming option in Settings.

HDR- It's a like gold plating on a UHD TV. The adjustment of brightness and darkness is so mind-blowing that everything in front of you seems real. It’s this particular feature that makes it the best 50 inch LED TV to own.

It is definitely one of the smartest Smart TV that I have seen. The Android makes it as fast and convenient as the superhero Flash. With so many apps to look forward to and most importantly the Netflix enabled TV has everything that you won’t get a chance to complain. But if you thought that that’s it, you’re in for a surprise. Artificial Intelligence can do many things like adjusting the volume, toggle through channels, reveal information about the programme you’re watching, switch on and switch off your TV with voice command, open the settings panel, control your home appliances, etc.

In fact, the sound is great too. If you connect a projector and create a home theatre system, you will get to know the real effect of sound and picture combination.

In my honest opinion, the TCL P6 is the best 50 inch Smart TV that I have seen in terms of features and external graphics. It also has a decent price range so you should consider it. But do get a quick demo, it’ll be fun.
