Why do you need to store water in large plastic storage containers?

If you can't find a tank to store drinking water, don't have time to shop, or just don't have the money to buy one, there's nothing to worry about. People two thousand years ago did not have one and made a lot of good out of what they had. You can also use one of those large plastic storage containers that is used to store clothes until next season.

Before adding water to any storage container, make sure the container is well cleaned and washed. Do not store drinking water in containers that have been used to store non-food items. Once your water has stabilized for a while, it should be changed at least once a year.
