White Label SEO and Reseller SEO

by Rob Davis Content writer

White Label SEO which is also known as SEO Reselling is a digital marketing strategy which allows your agency to provide and sell organic SEO services to your clients without having to do the actual optimization or hire in-house SEO specialists. You can deliver high-quality SEO services through your brand without having to do any of the work, while still having a massive margin for your own business.

The best types of White Label SEO provide support and training at the same standard as a hired SEO specialist at a reasonable price point that allows you to experience a minimum of 50% gross service margins.

The Difference Between White Label SEO and Reseller SEO

Reseller SEO is a popular term that is frequently used synonymously with White Label SEO. But, there are usually some core differences between these two terms. Here is a basic definition of reseller SEO to compare:

Reseller SEO is a solution where you choose precisely what core set of SEO actions will be achieved for a client, and buy the package from an SEO reseller to deliver it to your client. SEO services resellers usually don't come with any level of training, education, or support outside of the chosen purchased plan.

The core differences between Reseller SEO and White Label SEO are outlined below:

  • Access to a team – White label providers, usually give access to an account manager and project coordinator who will be there to help you along the project's journey. They typically work internally with a team of SEO specialists and help you to communicate with your clients while also discovering opportunities effectively.

  • Support & education – As you don't frequently get a team with reseller SEO packages, you might not receive a lot of support or training behind the deliverables, service, or SEO in general. This is something you should be cautious of if you do not have a great understanding of SEO currently.

  • Strategy – The majority of the time, you will get a pre-set list of action items when working with a reseller package. But, with white-label, you are likely to get a little more strategy support. Most of the strategy goes into developing packages that work in different situations, so this isn't necessarily a bad thing either way.

  • Ease of sale to your clients – When you're merely reselling a package, you will know precisely what you're selling. If not results, at least the capacity of work that will be achieved. However, often with White-Label (and with more strategy involved), the end product might be slightly different between clients and include more of a discovery process.

  • Pricing models & margins – With a reseller SEO solution, you'll usually experience lower expenses per project or campaign than you will with a white-label provider. That being said, this is not always the case; reseller packages are generally so very defined that they can drive the costs down. SEO services pricing varies, so you should always check your budget and research packages. For more information on how SEO packages work, visit https://thegenia.com/seo-services-pricing
