Whisky Drink Recipes for The Festive Season

where you have a get together or party or a wedding to attend at least once a
week and hosting some parties yourself. Planning a party is a lot of work. You
need to think of everything from the place settings, to the food, to your home
décor and most importantly about the drinks. No good party is complete without
some seriously good drinks.
When it comes to party drinks, you just cannot contest that
blended whisky or blended scotch makes the best cocktails. Here are some whisky drink recipes
that you can whip up for your party without too much hassle.
1.
Citrus Irish Punch: A pitcher of this and your
friends and family are sure to have a great time. This recipe makes a whole
pitcher for everyone to enjoy.
Ingredients-
A blended whiskey of your choice (1⅔ cups), black tea (1⅔
cups), orange juice (1/2 cup), bitters of your choice and 1½ tsp. nutmeg.
Process- Combine the whiskey, black tea, orange juice and
lemon juice along with 7 dashes of bitters in pitcher. Add the nutmeg; cover
and chill for 3–8 hours. Strain into a bowl and serve.

The Blood and Sand: This gory sounding
cocktail will make for a perfect drink for your Halloween party. This recipe
makes one glass.
Ingredients-
A blended scotch of your choice (30 ml), cherry liqueur (20ml), red wine (20
ml) and orange juice (20 ml).
Process- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the blended Scotch, cherry liqueur,
red wine or fortified wine and orange juice. Shake,
shake, shake and serve.
Quick
tip- Do not use cherry brandy instead of cherry liqueur. Use orange zest
instead of orange slice to garnish.

Whisky Sour: If you’re throwing a dinner party
for a few close friends and relatives, this cocktail is perfect for the
occasion. This recipe can make one glass
Ingredients-
Blended whisky (50ml), lemon juice (20ml) and sugar syrup (20ml).
Process- Fill a
cocktail shaker with plenty of ice. Pour in the blended whisky, lemon
juice and sugar syrup. Shake, shake, shake and serve.
4.
An Old Fashioned: Thinking of throwing a posh
party? Here’s a recipe for the cocktail you need.
Ingredients- 1 sugar cube, your choice of bitters, club soda, Indian Scotch Whisky and ice.
Process-
Put the sugar cube in a glass and wet it with some bitters, add the club soda
and mix until the cube dissolves. Add your Scotch and some ice. This is
optional but you can add some orange peel to it for added taste.
