Which WordPress blogging service is suited for you
I am on several sites where a WP blog is part of the offered services, Kooiii.net and PinOpps Pro and on the separate Dotrim service.I have blogs on all three. I would classify myself as an average WordPress user now. I manage basics and some advanced features but I am still puzzled with many plug-ins, widgets and add-ons.
I started with WP blogs on a network where it was part of an advertising agency. It was quit a simple version compared with a self hosted blog which has endless possibilities with no limits.
I know now that just because they are there I do not have to use all what is available to set up a decent blog; I just skip the things I have not figured out yet. However I must honestly say that I would probably have given on it when it would have been as complex looking as it is now.
For those that love simple and have no desire to become an WP Expert the blogging service of PinOpps Pro is a nice option. It is very basic, you will not have trouble to find your way even if you have never used WP before and/or when English is not your native language. It is not hard to give your blog a personal touch by changing the header and it is not hard to put up your own ads. So a good solution if you only want to blog and monetize it.
PinOpps Pro is not free. On Pinopps it is the connection and exposure through the free PinOpps board connected through APSense add-ons. The banners you see on top and in pins are from upgraded partners.
As Neville pointed out a self hosted WP blog is best so that you have complete control over it.
On the internet many good resources can be found as well in writing as videos. I would like to mention Neville's Dotrim Blog which provides good tips and info.
Which one is best suited for you, only you can tell. Blogging done the right way can help you brand yourself and get you more possible prospects IF you do not focus alone on the technical aspects and learn to engage your readers.

Paula, you mention the PinOppsPro. I have contacted the support division about joining as a pro Member and was told that feature not available?

All good points Paula. Using the services like the ones you have suggested is a good way to get started with WP, but if wanting to be serious about using a blog they can be restrictive. While no longer hosting blogs, dotrim can still be used a resource that provides information to help with some of the tech aspects of blogging with WP. The Kooiii NetBlogs, as you have suggested is one service that hosts (almost) fully functioning blogs, and has a free entry level to help get started.

Ok. I will adjust above post accordingly. I agree that there are plenty resources available in writing and videos and also that self hosted is best. However many people that never worked with WP will probably want to try first if they can work with it. Personally I find it very pleasant to ask a person I know when I try things and get stuck rather than an unknown person on a forum.

Even though I have some participation on 2 of the WP blog services that you mention, I strongly hold the opinion that the BEST WordPress Blogging service is your own self-hosted WP blog. That way you have control of the blog. If tech issues are a problem there are plenty of good resources and blogging groups/forums where your questions can be answered. By the way, apart from exceptional circumstances I do not offer any more WP blogs at dotrim.
