Where to Place Your Small Gun Safe

You don't want your guns to be accessible to someone who cannot handle them. However, you also need the right place to put your gun safe. Safety and security are the biggest concerns of gun owners.

Choosing a place for your small gun safe depends on several factors. The following are the most important factors you need to consider:

Your basement can be the worst place as well. If your house is in a flood-prone area, don't keep your gun safe in the basement. In such situations, keep your gun safe on the first floor. Your best gun safe should not be much higher. You also need to consider the weight of your gun safe. If its weight is more than 3000 pounds, your floor may not be able to support this weight.

Choose a location that is not easy to access. A burglar typically goes to the following rooms:

• Garage

• Office
