When asked about restaurants, 87 percent of those surveyed stated that they felt restaurants and bars have improved by massive leaps and bounds. Additionally, 90 percent of respondents thought hotels were much, much better, and 84 percent felt that hospital care had seen massive improvement as well.

 

So while Gurgaon may not be a long-standing destination for investment opportunities, it has rapidly become a fantastic location that continues to see growth and constant improvement.

 

New Versus Old

One of the final preliminary decisions you need to make when looking at properties to invest in is whether you’re going to invest in an older piece of property or a new project that may still be partially under construction. Both new and old properties have their own benefits and issues you need to look into, but in general, looking at newer projects as investment opportunities has the potential to earn you far more than any sort of older, already settled location.

Amenities and Proximity

No matter how pretty the landscaping and architecture of a residential project is, another major factor you need to think about when looking for investment opportunities is what sort of amenities and services are nearby, and how close they all are. If you’re looking to invest in a residential project in the hopes of earning monthly income through rents, this is even more important than if you’re investing with capital appreciation in mind. The amenities you think to look for aren’t just things like shopping malls and grocery stores; you need to know how close metro stations are, where the nearest hospitals are, and other emergency and transportation services. Some people move to get away from a previous job that had a massive commute, while others may move to get closer to a particular type of store. Looking for a residential project that is close to as many amenities and services as possible should be a top priority when looking for good investment locations.
