What's Your Most Speed up Profitable Type?@Quicken Support Number

by Lee Smith Technical Support

An underused are employed both Rate up and Reason for Selling (POS) is Type. This function can help you recognize your greatest kind of client. Both products have opinions to show Sales by Customer Type. This can be the best way to see which kind is generating the highest income for you. You could then do more targeted marketing - where to advertise, what associations to join, what media works best for that group. This kind of information can help execute smarter, not harder and improve most of your aspect here. You can also filter other opinions by kind.

POS has only Customer kinds, but Rate up has Customer, Job and Source kinds. All 3 can be very useful.

Even if you have only 1 or 2 kinds, it still can help you narrow down their history. But if you really want to recognize an ideal client, it permits you to have more than 2 kinds. Here are a few examples:

• Consumer, Business

• Industry sectors

• Retail, Wholesale

• Geographic place

• Govt, Non-profit, Commercial

• Suburb, City

In Rate up you can also have sub-types.

• So, if you have a person client, perhaps a key demographic information such as gender or age groups or even connection (family, employee)

• Retail - What kind of retail? Food, elements, pet supplies, cosmetics

• Wholesale - perhaps region, kind of store, dimensions of store

• Non-profit - perhaps more particular - associations, hospitals, schools (even kind of school)

Quicken often has resource of cause for Customer Type. Personally, I like to use a personalized place for resource of cause so I can be more particular about the kind of client

In Rate up, you can also have Job Types (and sub-types). This can help you see in the marketplace tasks are effective (or not). The more particular you can be, the better you can recognize an excellent niche and better target your marketing.

• Decks, Kitchens, Bathrooms

• New construction, remodel

• Logos, Brochures, PR

• Residence Management, Fix 'n Flip

You can even use Source Types (and subtypes) to help you quickly generate information. Some examples would be:

• Kind of subcontractor (electric, dry wall, paint)

• Kind of supplies - home elements, jewelry, pet elements, organic food

• Tax Agency, Supplier, Bank

Again, you could add region or some other valuable delineator if you want to use a combination of kind and subtype (for instance, sub-contractors in given regions)

So here's how you set them up.

• In Rate up, you may select Add New when you are in a client, job or resource edit display (on left) or you can generally just basically click Lists>Customer and Source Profile Lists

In POS, you set this up in the Company Preferences>Customer

Both in Rate up and POS, you then have a drop-down history out there.
