by Nancy Jemes Blogger
Many people dream to move to France. You know, it is the French countryside, the elegance of incredible Paris or a charming coastal village. When you move to France, it brings the promise of a new adventure in life, food, art, and travel.
But when you are moving to France, leaving the excitement one side, there are a few things you need to know to get your process done right and in proper order. Here are some important factors you need to consider when you are planning to move to France, which you must know in advance before planning removals to France from UK or elsewhere:

  • Plan in Advance
Your dream will take time and there are many paths to navigate and it will also require months of preparation. You need to give yourself at least six months and start by preparing a checklist of all of the tasks that needs to be completed and know all about living in France, as much as you can.

  • Process Paperwork:
An important thing is to complete your paperwork well in advance. It’s important to know that the requirement to move come with plenty of paperwork. So, keep track of everything and stay organized. And you should also keep a note in your folder with important email addresses, phone numbers and contact names.

  • Get the Visa
It depends on which country you are relocated from. You may not need a visa to live and work in France. You will be aware that European Union nationals don’t need a visa or work permit in France, but a valid passport is necessary. Whereas Non-European Union nationals need to apply for a long-term visa and residence before arriving in France.

  • Open a Bank Account
There are many rules related to opening a bank account in France. To open an account in France, most of the banks will require you have documents from a French host and that should also include a copy of their identification proof, proof of residency and a signed letter from them that they will host you in France.

It’s also possible to open a bank account online, but every French bank will not do this. You can research to find a bank that will open an account online and choose the bank that suits your needs.

  • Adapt to the Language
In France, it is becoming more common to find residents who speak English. Many employees in retail shops and museums are more than willing to assist you in English. But, this is not common in rural areas. To be on the safe side, you need to learn the basic level of French before you move. The people of France are friendly and always helpful, but it’s better if you at least attempt to speak their languages.

These are the most common thing that’s you need to know before moving your family and business to France. The above things will always help you. When you contact professionals for removals to France from UK, or anywhere else, do consult them what specifics could help in easing your move and making your stay more comfortable and convenient.
