If you are thinking about joining a fitness center in Phoenix, AZ, there are many things to consider. Do your research up front, so you find the fitness center that meets all of your workout needs. Look at price, hours, equipment, cleanliness, classes offered, location, and more before you join!

 Price

Many gyms provide a pass or some sort of a trial period that allows you to try the gym before committing to a membership. Definitely, take advantage of the trial period to see if it meets your expectations. Also, some gyms offer a few free passes each year so that you can bring a friend or family member with you to work out with. Not only does it provide potential news members for the gym but it provides you an opportunity to hang out with your friends and get a workout too!

 Hours

Do the gym’s hours work with your hours?  If you like to work out late in the evening but the gym closes early, clearly that’s not the gym for you. So, be sure to ask about weekday and weekend hours before committing to a membership.

 Equipment

You want to be sure the gym you choose has the equipment you require for your workouts. Also, you don’t want to have to wait too long to use a piece of equipment. And, you want the equipment to be clean and well maintained. These are all things you should observe during your trial membership.

 Cleanliness

Before you commit to a membership, observe the facility during your trial workouts to see how clean it is. Look at the equipment, the floor, the locker room and make sure it is well taken care of.

 Location

Choose a gym in proximity to your home. There will be days when you have to push yourself to go to the gym, so the closer it is to you, the better. Distance is one less excuse you can use to not go to the gym and get your workout in!

 Classes Offered

A full-service fitness center in Phoenix, AZ, will offer a variety of fitness classes for its members. Don’t forget to ask for a class schedule to see what’s offered and how many spaces are available in each class so you know that if you want to take a class, you can actually get in!
