Image Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is a male infertility treatment in India. It involves a process in the laboratory in which separates quick moving sperm from a slow and lethargic non-moving sperm. The quick moving sperms which are active are placed in the womb of the woman when it’s time for ovulation and the egg is released from the ovary in the middle of the monthly cycle. IUI is shown in patients who suffer from ejaculatory dysfunction which includes sexual dysfunction and impotence, male mild infertility factor, unexplained fertility, stages of 1 or 2 endometriosis. It is very important that the fallopian tubes are known to be open and healthy before the process of IUI starts off.

Sperm quality should be healthy:

The next important need is that the sperm numbers or sperm quality should not have any prime issues. The success rate of intrauterine insemination is about 15-20% each cycle. It is highly advised that at least 3-4 cycles of treatment are aimed prior to considering other options. In tubal fact infertility and endometriosis, the success rates are low of about 6-9%. In mild male factor and ovulatory dysfunction, the success rates are dropped when these 2 factors are working together. It is also observed that in IUI’s of unexplained infertility yield the best rates of success in the initial 3-4 cycles after which the success rates drop down considerably to around 5%. So it’s highly advised that after a trial of IUI one should opt to move to IUI which is also dependent on various other reasons like if induction in ovulation was given and IUI timing with rupture in the follicle. The total duration of time spent in prepping semen and later IUI should be a minimum of more the time spent than the failure of IUI as the quality of the semen declines. It is always suggested to be informed of the IUI success rates as many couple cling on to their hopes on IUI. Another factor is that IVF has 3 times more of a success rate. The decision taken by the couple should consider success rates and procedure cost. IUI also needs checking of a cycle by ultrasound and is a tense treatment. But since a cost of IUI in India is cheaper so it can be considered as an option for couples. But it should be done with the correct indication only for a proper number of times and then the couple should consider IVF.

So now since you know all about IUI treatment in India. It's best to sit back and analytically and strategically evolve and decide on the best treatment suited for you and your spouse. Consider all the vital points such as the cost involved and the success rate. Last but not the least, give the most important credibility to the fact that you should choose the best IUI clinic where the success ratio has been overwhelming.
