What Is the Importance of Bridging Visa for Migrants in Australia?

The bridging visa Australia is a temporary visa which allows immigrants to stay in Australia when the current visa expires, and the substantive visa application is being processed. The holder can stay temporarily but not allowed to return after going from there.

There are five kinds of bridging visas-

Bridging Visa A- This Visa is granted while migrant wait for a substantive visa. There are no travel or work rights which are given with this Visa.
Bridging Visa B- This Visa is valid for three months and allows the migrants to travel outside Australia. Both Visa A and Visa B can be held at the same time.
Bridging Visa C- This Visa is granted to the unlawful non-citizens who have overstayed their Visa limit. Visa C doesn’t give any work or travelling right.
Bridging Visa D- This Visa allows the applicant to stay for a short time (usually five days) in the country lawfully while a substantive Visa application is in process. There is no travel or working rights associated with it.
Bridging Visa E- This visa allows the applicant to stay in the country lawfully after the visa is expired so that the holder can leave the country. There are no travel rights with it, but the work rights depend on the grant letter which applicant receives.
