What is the difference between obstetrics and gynecology?

by Pooja Chauhan Freelance Professional
Gynecology is a medical specialty in the fields of medical care for women. It is divided into two related sciences: obstetrics which related to pregnancy, childbirth and the six weeks after childbirth. Doctors who practice it are called obstetricians. Gynecology deals with diseases affecting the reproductive organs of females. Doctors who practice it are called gynecologists. Many doctors specialize in both fields.
Gynecology is a branch of modern medicine that deals with female physiology and female reproductive health (vagina, uterus and ovaries). It also deals with breast, and gynecology can be defined literally as "gynecology". Masculinity is considered a counterpart, as it deals with the medical issues of the male reproductive system.
At the same time, all gynecologists are specialists in obstetrics and gynecology, and obstetrics and gynecology are highly intertwined.

In the 19th century, cesarean delivery led to the death of about 86 of every 100 women who subject to the operation. Today, surgical techniques, the ways of blood transfusions, and anti-inflammatory drugs have devolved. All of this has helped reduce the number of women dying during childbirth to less than one in 10,000 women.

The main diseases addressed by this specialization are:
Cancer and pre-cancerous diseases that affect the genitals and ovaries, fallopian tube, ureter, vagina, uterus, and vulva.
Smooth urinary.
Menopause
Dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain)
Fertility
Menorrhagia (heavy menstrual periods). This is a common indication for hysterectomy.
Pelvic organs falling
Cervical, vaginal and uterine infections (include fungal, bacterial, viral infections)

Cases treated by a gynecologist:
Cancer and pre-carcinogenic diseases in the genitals includes ovary, fallopian tube, uterus, cervix, vagina, and vulva.
Urinary incontinence (involuntary urination)
Menopause (lack of menstrual cycle)
Dysmenorrhea (pain in the menstrual cycle)
Infertility.
Prolonged menstrual period is a common indicator of hysterectomy.
The pelvis drops and lands.
Vaginal infections, cervical and uterine infections (including bacterial, viral, and parasitic infections)
Other vaginal diseases
There is some overlap with other specialties, for example: a woman suffering from urinary incontinence may be referred to an urologist.
Gynecology and Obstetrics
Features
1. Unlike all medical specialties obstetrician deals with a purely physiological process. It is just a regulator and follow-up process. It is the mother of her child and this in it the end of pleasure.
2. This specialization combines the skill of brain operation and surgical manual skills in the sense that it combines the medicine and surgery in dealing with the patient. It means that you love the inner part of your body.
3. The FIELD is widely used, which means, unlike traditional specialties, NEW TRENDS or SUB SPECIALITIES of IV, IV and other fields, in addition to Laparoscopy.
4. the most specializations in which there is always new and non-stopped for the limit and the lack of good follow-up of all new needs, in addition to those specialized is necessary to be continental and understanding in the other specialization like Department of Internal Medicine and children because you deal with the patient as a whole not with a separate member or system.
