What is the difference between IUI and IVF?

by Pooja Chauhan Freelance Professional

For normal pregnancy, men and women must enjoy two natural conditions. The examination of the normal sperm of a man should be normal in the number, shape and movement of sperm and in the viscosity of semen. The examination shall take place after the man has abstained from sex for 3 days. When examining the sample, the sample should be given for half an hour before being examined. During this period the liquid sample is transformed from the viscous state to the non-sticky state. If the viscosity does not decrease after half an hour, it indicates that the viscosity of the semen is high and this impedes the movement of the sperm and reaching the egg inside the fallopian tube.

What is the difference between IUI and IVF?

IUI is different from the process of IVF. In this process, we take semen samples from the husband and treat them by cleaning them from impurities and concentrating the number of sperm and treated with nutrients and activated and injected again in the womb of the wife. The couple will attend special ways before starting the process. A man should abstain from having sex for at least three days of semen sampling in order to increase the sperm count as much as possible. The wife prepares to stimulate the wife's ovaries with special medicines to produce several eggs, which increases the fertility of women. The sperm are injected into the woman's womb at a certain time of the cycle. The eggs have just emerged from the ovaries.

The method of IVF depends on the extraction of eggs outside the body of the woman and vaccinated by several unknown sex sperm. This vaccination results in several fertilized eggs. one of these fertilized eggs, we take one cell from each of them (usually fertilized eggs on the third day are in a stage containing eight cells in each). We examine one cell of each oocyte from oocytes by a chromosome examination that takes several hours, and then we can know from each cell Sex in the fertilized egg extracted from it.

The fertilized eggs (usually about 4-8 fertilized eggs) are separated into two parts:

a male section and a female section. The required eggs are returned to the womb of the woman on the third day of fertilization of the eggs. Needless to say, in the process of the child of the tube we may face cases where there is no eggs fertilized with a male macrophage or vice versa because the selection of sperm at the beginning was random.

The chance of conception by IUI is 80%, as in the study we conducted in our laboratory, whereas in the IVF it is 35% (as is the case of most of the centers in the world). But the method of IVF reaches its accuracy in determining the sex to 100% while its accuracy in IUI is 85% as in our statistics. The difference in costs. The " IVF " process is expensive for the general public. As the material cost is about ten times the cost of determining the sex used in IUI.
