What is the best treatments for herpes in India?

by Bhagwati Ayurved Doctor

We sometimes associate herpes simplex virus (HSV) with genital herpes due to sexual activity, but  HSV is much more diverse. Herpes isn't uncommon, only that it's normally kept hidden. Every year, so many people seek care for it.

Herpes is the abbreviation for herpes simplex, a widespread viral infection that causes blemishes or sores on the skin, particularly on the face and in the genital region. The Herpes Simplex infection is the most common, with ‘fever blisters' or ‘cold sores' on the mouth or lips. HSV-1 is the name for this virus (oral herpes). HSV-2 is another common type of herpes that occurs in the genitals (genital herpes). For the rest of his life, a person infected with HSV will have recurring episodes of active herpes.

Skin-to-skin touch, which transmits HSV-1 and HSV-2, is the most common cause of Herpes. If you get herpes for the first time while pregnant, there's a chance you'll pass the infection on to your unborn child.

When our immune systems are weak, such as when we don't get enough food, exercise, or sleep, and we're subjected to environmental contaminants or chronic stress, our bodies experience dosha imbalances, according to Ayurveda. Pitta impurity, along with blood, is thought to be the main cause of the disease. The presence of skin lesions is caused by blood impurity, caused by poor digestion, or poor eating habits.

What exactly is herpes?

The herpes simplex virus causes herpes, which is a widespread and infectious infection (HSV). It's transmitted by skin-to-skin contact with infected areas, and signs include sores and blisters around the mouth and/or external genitalia. Itching, fever, chills, body aches, and painful or difficult urination are all possible herpes signs.

Herpes Simplex 1 and Herpes Simplex 2 are two herpes viruses. Both are contagious and can be spread by sexual touch.

Treatment for genital herpes must take into account the illness's long-term nature.

How do you know if you have herpes?

Herpes is almost always transmitted by sexual contact, oral sex, or kissing. HSV-1 will spread through shared lip balm, utensils, or other objects that come into contact with saliva on occasion.

In most cases, a visual inspection and discussion of different symptoms are enough to diagnose herpes. If they have any doubts, they can check it with a viral culture, which entails lab examination of a swab or scraping.

Lifestyle and Home Remedies

You can do certain stuff at home to relieve the discomfort of a cold sore or genital herpes. You should also take a few precautions to keep the lesions from worsening and spreading and infection from returning.

·         Apply cold compresses: Apply an ice pack to your lesions for as long as it helps you feel better. The cold will not make the lesion worse or better, but it will relieve the discomfort.

·         Don't scratch: It's crucial to avoid touching or scratching herpes lesions because you could spread the infection to other parts of your body.

·         Keep the sores clean: Bacteria from your hands or, in the latter case, urine or feces, will infect cold sores and genital herpes infections. To prevent a secondary infection, keep the area around the sores and blisters clean and dry.

·         Reduce stress: Stress can impair the immune system's ability to function properly. Reducing your stress levels can help you avoid recurrences of herpes.

Find a doctor with whom you are at ease.

While some doctors are passionate about sexual wellbeing, others may be unfamiliar with or uncomfortable discussing these subjects. It's important to find a doctor with whom you can freely and comfortably address these concerns. Some doctors specialize in this sector, some of whom work in private clinics, and others who work in sexual health facilities. In rural areas, there are also sexual health programs. Both sexual health programs are kept completely private.

If you're concerned about the effect of genital herpes on your sex life, friendship, or future relationships, speak to your doctor. Your doctor will instruct you about speaking to your partner about sexually transmitted diseases and offering support groups.
