What is suspension on electric bike?

by love senada lovesena

Do you know the basics of shock absorption systems for electric bicycles? If you are interested or looking for answers, we will provide detailed information about how damping works and the research behind it.

Bicycle damping systems are designed to improve the comfort and handling of a bicycle by dissipating the energy generated by the terrain. They may also dissipate the rider's energy through small vibrations caused by pedal movements.

Bicycle suspensions provide better control, traction and comfort on rough singletrack or potholes. This is one of the many factors that help you enjoy your ride. It is a major issue for competitive cyclists who mainly compete in off-road races such as steep hills and rock climbing. It can be assumed that any system that reduces a cyclist's metabolic exertion will automatically improve performance.

The most relevant findings are presented and discussed in a study focusing on the mechanical stimuli and energy expenditure associated with cross-country cycling suspension systems. The study shows that the power expended by the rider from the shock absorbing system is small and probably insignificant on most terrain.

Having a shock absorbing system makes riding easier. Even novice mountain bikers can walk to places they cannot ride without hanging or puncturing impenetrable places. The latter has a front suspension for a smooth ride and extra control, while the front and rear shock absorption feature makes the electric fat tire bike twice as light and usable on almost any terrain.

It makes for a more comfortable and efficient ride. Rocks, roots, potholes and bumps are absorbed by the rear vibrations, not by your body, back and hips. This means you are less tired and can ride more efficiently, travelling longer distances at a faster pace.

When the rear end of the suspension electric assist bike goes over an obstacle, the rear wheel remains glued to the ground. As a result, traction is better than on flatter surfaces. Do this so that you get better traction when riding.

Have more control. As your wheels move up and down, the shock full suspension ebike stays in contact with the ground, resulting in excellent control and confidence. In contrast, on a bike without a shock system, the rear end of the bike bounces over rough terrain, losing contact with the ground and reducing control.

Switching is more flexible. The shock keeps the wheel in contact with the ground so you never lose traction. In addition, you'll usually hit braking bumps before the bend is absorbed, so you can turn faster and maintain the best possible line.

If you decide to go for an all-terrain e-bike, you should try our shock absorption system. Of course, our best feature is the long range and climbing power.
