What is Rhinoplasty?
by GoMedii Technologies Health ConsultantNose surgery is called rhinoplasty. In
common language, it is called a nose job. It works in the form of recreation and
beauty. It is such a delicate and complex surgical procedure that affects life
in a positive way. Rhinoplasty surgery not only gets rid of the deformed shape,
size, and malformation of the nose but also relieves any disease,
infection, disorder, etc. related to the nose. Rhinoplasty is mostly performed
in conjunction with the septoplasty surgical procedure. In the septoplasty
procedure, the nasal airway is opened by straightening the crooked nose again.
Through rhinoplasty surgery, the nose is given a new look by changing the
length, the width of the nose according to the shape of the face, which increases
the beauty of the face.

years or above and the age of the boy should be 17 years or above for the surgery.

Types of Rhinoplasty Surgery
Open Rhinoplasty - This surgical
procedure is adopted in cases of severe damage to the nose, injury, etc. as
there is no other option. Otherwise, open rhinoplasty is avoided. The reason for
this is that in this an incision is made outside the nose, which leaves a
permanent scar.
Closed Rhinoplasty - This is the most
common and popular form of rhinoplasty. In this procedure, the incision is made
inside the nose, due to which there is no scar on the outside of the nose.
Non-surgical rhinoplasty - This is
primarily a non-invasive procedure, using injectable fillers. This procedure is
considered the safest. Although this is a procedure done for aesthetic
purposes, but the size of the nose cannot be reduced in this process. This
procedure can make the nose appear smaller by making it hard. This procedure is
also used to correct some birth defects of the nose.

Preparing for Rhinoplasty
Health check-up – A rhinoplasty surgeon,
first thoroughly examines the health of the person. Some blood tests, urine
tests may be done, X-rays, 3D images may also be asked for.
Medical History – Surgeons gather
information about a person's medical history to assess the possible
complications of rhinoplasty surgery.
Analyzing – Surgeons thoroughly analyze
all medical test reports, especially nasal X-rays, 3D images.
Withholding of medicines – Surgeons seek
information about medicines/herbal products, vitamins, minerals or any
supplements that the person undergoing surgery is taking. These may be modified
or advised not to take them as some medicines may increase the chances of
bleeding.
Do not smoke or consume alcohol – If the
person undergoing surgery smokes or consumes alcohol, then he is asked to stop
all this immediately. Because they can hinder recovery after surgery and lead
to infection.
Advice to stop eating, drinking – From
about six hours before the surgery, it is asked to stop food, water or other

surgery procedure

the nose between the bone and cartilage of the nose. Then the skin and
cartilage of the nose are separated.
3. Thereafter, according to the purpose for
which the surgery is to be performed, the surgical procedure is carried out.
4. Upon completion of the surgical
procedure, stitches are applied to the cut of the nose. The surgical procedure
takes about two hours to complete but may take longer in some severe cases.
