Solution 2: change the file name of .ND and .TGL files.

  1. Go to the file location C:\users\public\documents\intuit\QuickBooks \company file.
  2. Search files with .ND and .TGL file extensions.

Solution 3: instead of using a mapped drive, use a UNC path

  1. Go to the QuickBooks desktop and right-click on the QuickBooks icon.
  2. Long Press Ctrl key on the keyboard and click run as administrator. Keep holding the Ctrl key until you see the no company open window.
  3. Note: long pressing and holding the ctrl key will stop the company files from opening automatically. 
  4. Go to the File menu and click on open or restore company. Then click open a company file and click Next. 
  5. Click network in the left pane and go to the location of your company file.
  6. Click on the company file and click open.
