What is new in IVF?

by Pooja Chauhan Freelance Professional

Every woman dreams of the day when she hears the word "Mama". She wants a child who enriches her life with colors of joy and happiness. To achieve this; scientists in the field of procreation and pregnancy do many attempts and experiments.

New in the world of IVF

1 - Thinning the fetal wall:

When the sperm is united with the egg, the embryo is made up of a single cell that is divided into embryos from two, three then four cells on the second day. The division continues to six or eight cells. During this stage, the embryo is surrounded by a wall. Into the uterus, it needs to get rid of this wall surrounding it. This is what we call the hatching process, and to facilitate this process; we do a simple thinning of the fetal wall; facilitate the process of implantation of the fetus lining the inner uterus.

What methods can be used to make the fetal wall thin?

There is more than one method: the first is mechanical, using a very thin needle dedicated to make of this hole. The second method is chemical, using a solvent and we put a small amount of it, and calculated on the part of the wall to be melted.

The third method, using laser technology, is the newest, the most accurate and the safest method, the so-called «« LAH - LazerAssisted Hatching>>.

Are there other problems or damage that you may have?

If we consider identical twins to be a problem, we can say metaphorically: this is the only problem that can be caused by thinning the fetal wall; it increases the likelihood of similar twins by 1%, a very small number.

Can this technique be used with all patients?

In general, yes, but studies have not shown the usefulness of thinning the fetal wall to raise the possibility of pregnancy except for three categories of women: The first category the woman who reached the age of 38 years or more. The second category that had not carried after 3 operations of Ivf. The third category also discovered that her thick wall. In these three cases, it is recommended to use the technique of thinning the fetal wall.

2 - Embryos Gum:

It is the second technique that is used to raise the successful probability of IVF. It is sticky substance where the embryos are placed "instead of in the normal and non-sticky preservative". This is done before the embryo transfer or return to the uterus, This substance «Embryo Glue» limit the movement or «swimming» the fetus within the uterus, which helps to keep the fetus inside the uterine cavity, and then raise the possibility of implantation inside the lining of the uterus.
