what is butcher paper

by Venessa Liu Web Administrator
The butcher paper was easy to use and held the juices in the paper. We wrapped a rack of ribs after it cooked to 150 degrees and let it indirectly get softer wrapped in the paper. I starting using pink butcher paper for smoked beef brisket, chuck roast, and short ribs after researching the difference between using butcher paper and foil. I'm totally satisfied with the results. I used it for smoking a brisket it worked awesome. Use butcher paper to wrap meat while smoking meat. Works well as retains some moisture and let’s air in. Made brisket with this. Worked like wonders. I just wish the brisket was more flavorful. But I believe this helped a lot with the tenderness. Exactly what I needed! Used this for my smoker, turned out much better than wrapping in tin foil. Shipping was fast, product was exactly as described! Perfect for in and out of a smoker/grill. Breathes well, doesn't break apart and easy to manipulate.

Purchased butcher paper rolls for a smoked brisket recipe. It did create a more juicy brisket. This was a great addition to my outdoor cooking arsenal, I have tried other butcher papers and they just did not hold up to the moisture and tended to fall apart. Overall, I am happy with this product and the fact that it is made in the U.S.A. is a great bonus. I highly recommend this for smoking briskets. Are you used to using foil in your grilling/smoking? Stop doing that! Switch to Butcher paper. This will dramatically change your life! All of your meat will be tender, juicy, and delicious. You will become the envy of your friends and neighbors for your BBQ skills. Your wife will pay more attention to you. Your kids will look up to you as they have never done before. Why are you still reading this review, buy the Butcher paper already. Change your life!

Where to buy butcher paper? YRYM HT butcher paper is great for wrapping meats when smoking. Stands up well when used in smoking meats. Good quality butcher paper. Works well for meats in the refrigerator and freezer as well as on the smoker. Large enough quantity it will last a good while. Worked good. I like using this better than aluminum foil. It is what it is, works great for wrapping large chunks of meat on the smoker! Don't tear through the plastic, store it like it comes with the plastic held by the end caps. Decided to try this in place of foil for bbq. The quality is good and it works, but for spare ribs you need one size larger. This is a good width for baby back ribs, but not for larger cuts like brisket or spare ribs.

I smoked 2 Butts and wanted to keep a good bark on the outside so I used this butcher paper and the results were perfect and the meat was still plenty juicy!! Still working on getting it right using this on ribs! I have used this paper on a brisket and it did a great job keeping the juices in and letting the smoke penetrate. Very heavy duty. Love this item. This paper works great for preserving that bark on meat in the smoker. Good quality peach butcher paper is impossible to find local. Highly recommend.
