A bunion usually causes pain in walking and when wearing shoes. The pain caused by bunions will stop many people from keeping active. Genetic is the reason responsible for bunion development. It has been examined that foot structure and function may be inherited.


Severe flatfoot: 


People have flatfoot have high chances of growing bunion.


Systemic disease: 


Disease like arthritis can cause changes in the big joint that will alter the foot's mechanics and cause a bunion.

· Select the footwear that has adequate support and retention mechanism.


· Continue to check your feet' shape as they develop over time, mainly if bunion runs in your family and seek a podiatrist's advice early.
