What Happens During a Hair Transplant Procedure

by Ankur S. Technical Writer

The hair transplant procedure is performed by the process of hair root transfer either done by the FUT technique or through the FUE method of hair transplant. Both these techniques are applied to the extraction of hair roots which will be described in this article. The hair root transfer is performed to obtain the best-needed number of grafts in order to cover the respective balding part and thus fulfils the desired cosmetic goal of the surgery.

The hair transplant in Delhi makes this possibility of getting the affordable cost of the procedure that is suited to every economic group of the people. The hair transplant cost in Delhi generally comes between 1-3 lakhs, which are considered as an economic rate easily; reach to every economic group of the people. The hair transplant surgery is a single permanent option that cures baldness effectively and permanently. However, it is recommended to go through the primary consultation only from the recognized hair transplant clinic. The best surgeons and doctors having expertise in the plastic and cosmetic surgeries are only allowed to perform the procedure as it is a hallmark to receive the best cosmetic effect of the procedure.

In this article, we are describing the procedure of hair transplant with both the applied technique and the particular steps involved in the surgery are as follows:

·        The Extraction of Hair Roots

This is the first and foremost step in the hair transplant procedure that facilitates the process of hair root transfer from the donor location to the recipient balding part of the scalp. The hair transplant procedure has the first step of extraction job that is either done by the FUT technique or through the FUE method of extraction.

·         Extraction via the FUT Technique: The FUT technique involves the strip of the skin excision from the safe areas of the scalp, which is the back and sides of the scalp. The excised part of the strip containing follicular units is sent to the dissection process. Further, the hair roots are dissected under the higher magnification of microscopes and a surgeon are able to dissect every follicular unit precisely and collect the viable grafts/hair roots in the process of implantation. The extraction from a safe donor part of the scalp assures about the permanency in outcomes in the form of receiving the most DHT-resistant hair roots that lasted forever.

·         Extraction via the FUE Technique: The multiple punching processes are required to fulfil the need for graft via the FUE technique and thus random punching processes are allowed in the follicular unit extraction. The FUE extraction involves the dynamic punching made by the motorized punching machine in which extraction of roots is obtained one-by-one that automatically reduces the donor area capability in order to obtain the grafts. However, a limited number of grafts can be obtained via the FUE technique and especially recommended for the Body hair transplant.

·         The Hairline Design:

The making of hairline design is an artistic concern in the hair transplant surgery that involves a lot of precision and skills from the part of the surgeon and thus it is mandatory to possess the aesthetic sense of understanding and knowledge in order to fulfil the required aesthetic requirement in the surgery. The hairline design is made by the extreme artistic sense as each angle and direction of hair grafts do matter in order to fulfil the desired cosmetic goal of the surgery.

·        The Slit Formation:

The recipient area creation is termed as the slit creation in which groove is made in order to implant the grafts according to original angle and direction of hair roots. The slit creation is itself an artistic concern and needs the same artistic sense and knowledge as it applies with the implantation job or hairline design process.

·        The Dissection Job:

The dissection process of hair roots helps in obtaining the viable grafts for the process of implantation. The dissection is made after harvesting/extracting the strip of the skin during the FUT technique of hair transplant. The dissection is made under the highest magnification of microscopes which improves the visibility of the grafts while dissection in going on and thus helps in obtaining the desired number of grafts for the process of implantation.

·        The Implantation of Hair roots:

This is the final step in the hair transplant procedure that closes the restoration surgery by implanting the live hair grafts onto the recipient balding part of the scalp. The implantation is itself an artistic part of the surgery as every hair root must follow a zigzag or an irregular pattern, especially covering the frontal areas of the scalp. The hairline must be followed by an irregular pattern with selecting the slim grafts to cover the frontal hairline, results in achieving the best original outcome of the hair transplant procedure.

Conclusion:

On the whole, we can say that the procedure of hair transplant is the combined effect of the artist, as well as surgical planning and understanding in which artistic part has a major role with 60% and remaining 40% of the surgery, is about surgical involvement with the utmost precision and perfection.
