What Every Training Office Must Remember During Fire Fighting Courses

by Fire eTraining Institute Fire Training Institute

Summary- The article is about the fire fighting courses and will tell you about the things you must focus on while overseeing the course.

It is a legal obligation for all staff members to be trained in fire protection procedures for any commercial setting – thereby being the official fire wardens for your area. The qualified person should have a good understanding of his or her overall roles and obligations as a fire warden. This will include: what action to take to discover a fire, know the difference between various types of fire, can extinguisher to use with can fire, and what the evacuation protocol is.

Understand the value of training:

Many different occupations will practice their crafts every day just in serving their everyday responsibilities; we don't fight fires every day we wake up to work. Each time the bell goes off, we don't stretch hoses, cut cars, tie knots or throw ladders. And when the opportunity comes to practice, it's not to be taken lightly; focus on the time spent to fine-tune skills in your team. You need to focus more on Fire Officer II Courses to make a great firefighter.

Train harder

That means taking a hands-on approach together with the students to handle the job of the training officer properly. Be sure to dress up for the part; be sure to set a good example and dress appropriately whatever is necessary to execute the training evolution safely. Your students will follow your lead. You need to take seriously the fire officer courses in order to successfully become a professional firefighter.

Practice Leadership:

The training officer will view the department's operations from inside a "Self-Realization" position; in other words, where is the department excelling? What is it that falls short? What capabilities do you think are lacking in department operations? Defining the vision of where the functional level of the department will be would define areas that will act as the key focal points for the training schedule of the department

Make it a point to familiarize yourself with the environment in which the training will take place; monitor the lighting, change room temperature and avoid any distractions that may disrupt the session. Ensure sure all audio / visual aids are in operating order and are compliant with the technology that supports the system. Become familiar with the topic to be discussed; this means reviewing the lesson plan before the session for as long as it takes to be able to talk about the subject without reading from the slides.
