Christmas is quickly approaching and I was just thinking: "What does Christmas mean to you?"Oh my! There are so many answers from so many different people. I want to explain what Christmas means to me. Some of you will agree, some will disagree, some will dismiss my article completely. But....here goes.....
Christmas means that Someone loved me so much that He sent a child to live among us and develop into a man. That man lived an exemplary life; showing us how to handle hurt, rejection, deception and other "symptoms" we would live to go through, to endure, to cry over, to try to run away from.
This child that grew up to be a man who loved and cared about me, and you enough that He died the worst kind of death imaginable during that time some two (2) thousand years ago. But....the best part is that He died, conquered death and defeated the grave and rose again!
When He rose, He rose with all power in His hand, He is now seated on the right hand of His, mine and your Heavenly Father. Now, He is interceding for us on a daily basis.
How do you think you make it through some of the trials and unfortunate episodes that you've faced?
So, to round it all up, what Christmas means to me is "LOVE." Unconditional, unending, uncompromised.
