What do I wear for the pre-wedding photo shoot?
by TM Maria Be a king in your own kingdomThe pre-wedding session often serves as an 'essay' prior to
day B where you can get confidence with the photographer, although many couples
use the photographs in their invitations and 'save-the-date.
The pre - wedding photos are more than a fashion: most
photographers recommend them because they help connect with the couple before
the day B, ie, they serve as test in a more relaxed environment, isolated from
the rest of the world, unhurried and without the need for everything to go well
the first time. These couple sessions, in addition, allow to put into practice
some poses or angles, and are a nice memory that is often used as part of the
invitations, in the same decoration of day B, or simply as an advance to the
wedding in social networks: that is, as a rule they are not photographs that are
going to be left in a drawer.
1. Avoid the long
white dress. If you want to wear white, better a minidress with sport accessories.
More than anything because that's what the wedding album is for, especially if
you're going to share the photos on social networks or print them with the
invitations or the save-the-date. A white and long dress will create confusion
among the guests: have they already married? Maybe there is a civil ceremony
before the religious? Is this the dress the bride will wear? This color,
moreover, is more difficult to capture in photos, the same as black (in case he
was thinking about wearing a dark sweater, or you want to wear a little black dress).
If you want to use black & white In the session, talk to your photographer
first so that you have the right light.
2. Prepare at least
two different looks. It is not about taking the car to the location of the
session up clothes, but to plan at least two outfits for each member of the
couple. If the two styles work, the result of the photos will be more varied.
If in the end you only look good with one, you'll be glad you did not risk
everything to a single outfit.
3. Coordinate the
colors, but do not wear the same. Look for colors that complement each
other instead of identical colors, that go with your complexion and with that
of your partner. It is decr: the ideal is that they are at opposite ends within
the chromatic circle. Blue Orange. Purple-green. If there is no way to flip the
cabinet using this formula, use a neutral color combined with a bright one:
gray and yellow; beige and coral, etc.
4. Take the
environment into account. Especially when choosing between skirt or pants,
long or short dress, or type of shoes. One city session admits more heel than a
session in the field,
5. Take advantage of
one of your hobbies in common. Or better yet, combine two favorite hobbies
if they are different.
6. The jewels matter
although the protagonist is the engagement ring. It is very likely that you
take out short shots where you can see the ring up close, your faces, a kiss
... The powerful jewels are perfect for this type of shot, as long as the ring
does not lose prominence. What you should NOT carry: the bag. Better to leave
it at home, or in the car.
7. Think about the
movement of the garments. Especially if you choose a skirt or a dress.
Photos in arms, for example, or running or moving are more spectacular if the
fabric is soft and fluid (for example gauze or silk) than if it is rigid (for
example, taffeta). Of course, garments with more structured fabrics favor more
from any angle, while flowing skirts are more treacherous. Do tests at home
from various angles, postures and movements.
