What are the Conditions Suffered by Kidney ?

by Rahul Tyagi Team Leader
Kidneys are a pair of organ located on either sides of the body. They are located below the ribs and behind the belly. If we talk about their size, then each of them is around 4-5 inches long and size of a large fist. The primary function of kidney is to filter the blood of all the waste material. The water fluid level is also regulated by them. Along with this, they also regulate ion concentration and pH level. However, all of these functions are hampered when some diseases hit the body. They don’t let kidneys work in a normal manner.

Eternal is one of the best kidney hospitals in India. There are different diseases which are suffered by the kidneys. Some of them are as follows –
Diabetes – It is a group of different diseases in which there is too much sugar in the body. It affects the way how the body processes blood sugar. It one of the most common causes of kidney failure.
Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure – it is a common condition in which blood forces against the artery walls. Eventually it will lead to health problems and lead to kidney diseases. Over time, it causes arteries around the kidney to narrow and weaken.
Polycystic Kidney Disease – It is an inherited disorder in which cysts develop in the kidneys. They are non cancerous in nature and contains water like fluid. Most of the people suffering from this condition are likely to have kidney failure by the age of 60 years.

In end cases like Kidney Failure, the only option remaining is transplant. Eternal Hospital is the most preferred hospital as kidney transplant cost in Jaipur is very low. A transplant is a surgical procedure in which diseased and non working kidney is removed and replaced with a healthy organ taken from the donor. Depending on the donor, he/she can be living or deceased.

In this procedure, general anesthesia is administered so that you don’t feel any pain and are not awake. An incision is made under the abdomen. Your old kidneys are kept in place until and unless they are causing any complications in the body such as kidney stones, high blood pressure, pain, infection etc. New kidney’s blood vessels are attached to the blood vessels in the lower part of the abdomen. Ureter, tube that links kidney to the bladder, is connected to your bladder. After the procedure, you will have to spend 5-7 days in the hospital for recovery.
