If you are planning to visit the country of Brazil, the very first thing you need as your travel permit is a Brazil visa. Once if you obtain this document, it will remain valid for 90 days within the first year of its issuing date. Within this time-period of your visa, you are eligible to enter or exit the country several times, stay with your family and friends, participate in upcoming events/sports activities, cultural fests, or academic seminars/conferences. However, you do not have the permission to engage yourself into any kind of paid work under the terms and conditions stated in this travel record.

Let us get to know more and detailed information about availing your tourist visa for Brazil.

  • Know about its general requirements: You must have your passport in original, which is valid for at least six months from the date of your visa application. Then, you must have the hard copy of your completed online application form and a recent passport size photograph that you have to paste on the filled form. The application form is the most basic and necessary requirement for obtaining your visa for the country.
  • Additional Requisites: Apart from the above-mentioned routine requirements, you also additionally need your travel itinerary’s copy. These can include anything from your onward/return journey tickets or e-ticket, which will be your tour confirmation that you need to submit along with the application. Never give your originals as an evidence for this.
  • Requirements for Minors: For applicants under the age of 18, there are certain other requirements, which they need to fulfill for obtaining their visa for this country. These include their original birth certificate and a notarized copy of the same. Additionally, they must also possess a letter of consent, signed by the parents and notarized. This consent letter is not a necessity in case the minor is travelling with both his parents, as all the required information is present, well in advance in the itinerary.

The requisites mentioned above for a Brazil Tourist Visa hold true for the business travel permit, as well. However, if a person is travelling to this place for his/her official purpose, he/she must satisfy a few other conditions.

  • A letter, most probably on the company’s letterhead, must have the employee name, designation in the company, duration of Brazil visit and one point of contact in the foreign land. In addition, this letter must contain the candidate’s job description in the visiting country, and the duration of his visit. The employee’s home company must also mention in the letter about his/her full responsibility during the tour.
  • In case, the applicant is self-employed, he requires a letter from his/her bank stating the financial references.

Therefore, if you are planning to make a tour to this country, then you must necessarily possess a Brazil Visa, for which satisfying the above-stated requirements is a precondition.
