Website Design: Key Elements That Should Be Avoided

by Rich B. Blogger By Profession

Website design can be a tricky business. When it comes to creating a design that increases revenue and maximizes traffic, a lot of companies continue to struggle. While making a website, it is imperative to make money, while also being appealing. It is crucial to avoid subtle mistakes during web design to make sure the website is working optimally.

Not Responsive Design: In today’s era of smartphones and tablets, websites must be responsive to various screen sizes. Known as an essential feature of a website, it makes a website accessible to everyone regardless of their device.

Slow Loading Speed: A webpage that takes longer than 3 seconds to load usually causes a loss of viewers. It is vital to have a website with quick loading time. It may happen due to an excess amount of images, scripts, or a bad web hosting set up.

Design Flaws: Flaws such as having font sizes that are too small, or in a color that is difficult to read are common mistakes that should be avoided. Other design flaws include too big or too small images, less white space, ad space that cover most of the screen, or links and buttons that aren’t big enough to click, etc.

Links: If a website has a lot of links that open to a new window. Multiple tabs are difficult to navigate, and without a back, button users might not come back to the site.

Web designers must keep these essential points in mind so that they create a highly functional website.
