Water – The best energy drink to keep you in shape

Today, the supplement market is enriched with diverse health drinks for adults in India. The industry contains numerous options that most people find it as a daunting task to make a choice. This shouldn’t be an issue because it is easy to make a choice in spite of the numerous options. Nevertheless, water is the best option to choose from these drinks. Do you mean water? Yes, because it contains important nutrient for the body. It contains no calories and readily available anywhere. Every nutrient required by the body is contained in water and helps in restoring the fluids lost breathing, sweating, metabolism, and removal of waste from the body. If you are considering rehydrating your body system or quenching your thirst, water is the perfect option.

What quantity of water is required for the body?

Well, there is no exact quantity of water to consume for the day. However, the Institute of Medicine advises men to consume 15 cups of water while women should take 11 cups each day. It is essential to note that this isn’t a daily target rather a general guide.

While many people will prefer beverages, water is a perfect choice because it is sugar-free and contains no calories. Initially, water can taste bland for those who love drinking sweet beverages. To increase the consumption of water without losing its flavor, you can try refreshing when tasty with water-based beverages.

Instead of buying expensive water flavored in stores, you can produce your own from the comfort of your home. Just add the following items to the water.

·         Sliced cucumber or sliced fresh ginger

·         Crushed berries

·         Crushed fresh mint

·         Sliced citrus fruits or zest (lime, lemon grapefruit, orange)

 

Sparkling water with a splash of juice

Similar to sugary soda, sparkling juice also contains calories. Instead of buying from grocery stores, make your own sparkling juice. Take 12 ounces of sparkling water and add two ounces of juice. If you want additional flavor, you can add fresh herbs (mint) or sliced citrus.

Beverages to limit

It is important to avoid drinks that contain sugar because they contain many calories and don’t have nutrients. Furthermore, the consumption of drinks that has high sugar can lead to increased type 2 diabetes, gout, weight gain, and cardiovascular disease. Sugar-sweetened soda or fruit punch contains approximately 150 calories. The consumption of this drink on a daily basis without reducing your calories make contributes to you increasing your weight by 5 pounds each year. However, if you want the story to change, you have to reduce your intake of sugary drinks. Sports drinks were designed to furnish athletes with carbs and fluid in the course of their intensive workouts. If you are not an athlete, it is better to avoid them because they are sources of sugar and calories. Finally, energy drinks have much sugar as soft drinks. They have enough caffeine to increase your blood pressure
