Watch Norman Masterpiece Comedy Featuring Richard Gere At BRJFF 12th Edition

The showing is scheduled at 3 pm at the Manship Theatre in Baton Rouge, as part of the 12th annual edition of the Baton Rouge Jewish Film Festival.

Norman is a comedy/drama following the adventures of New York shyster Norman Oppenheimer, an opportunistic business consultant who happens to meet the future Israeli prime minister.
The movie was praised for its character study and directorial prowess, with Ann Hornaday of The Washington Post saying: “Combining the dry wit of a latter-day Woody Allen with a canny eye for reflective and layered surfaces, Cedar [director] creates two utterly credible worlds: the one in which Norman operates, and the brick-and-mortar reality in which everyone else is trying to make their own way.”
Tickets for the January 14 showing are $8.50 and can be purchased online at the company’s official website or at the Manship Theatre box office.
The showing is part of the 12th edition of the Baton Rouge Jewish Film Festival, a local cultural institution aiming to bring to the Baton Rouge public some of the best works of modern Jewish cinematography. The 2018 program of the festival will also feature other films, including The Women’s Balcony, Keep the Change and Denial.
