VITEEE 2016 Entrance Exam Notification

The Vellore Institute of Technology conducts the VITEEE, a University Level Entrance Examination, in the . Application forms for the same can be filled by the candidates who are eligible, once the forms are released online. The candidates who successfully apply for the VITEEE 2016 will be issued Admit cards according to the paper they have chosen to appear for.

The VITEEE Exam will be a computer based test that is expected to be held in April 2016. There has been no official notice by the VIT stating the dates of the VITEEE 2016 yet. However, the VITEEE application forms are most likely to be released in November/December 2015. The candidates can access and fill the form online on the official VIT website. The VITEEE 2016 will be conducted in over a 100 cities across the country and the candidates will be given a choice to choose their examination centers.

VITEEE 2016- Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have cleared their 12th class board examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks PCM/PCB.
• The candidates who had PCM as core subjects are eligible to apply for any course.
• However, candidates having PCB as core subjects can only apply for Bio-medical Engineering, Btech. Bioinformatics and Biotechnology programmes.

Aspirants are advised to read all the norms of VITEEE 2016 Eligibility Conditions before applying for the exam.

Online VITEEE 2016 Application Procedure

• The first step is to visit the official website of the VIT.
  
• Click on the link indicating ‘Apply Online’.
  
• You will now be asked to enter the following details –
  

1. Name of the candidate
2. Date of birth
3. Gender
4. Email Address
5. Mobile number

• Once you enter all the details you will be asked to enter a verification code provided to you which is for security purposes.
  
• Make sure you check the details you have entered before clicking on ‘Submit’.
  This will ensure your registration.
  
• You must now log in to your VIT account using your email ID and the password provided to you after the registration.
  
• You will now be required to verify your registration.
  
• There will be an extensive VITEEE 2016 application form requiring details such as nationality, community, address, native state, etc. that needs to be filled with valid information.
  
• You will also be asked to enter details regarding your academic qualifications.
  Upload a passport size photograph of yourself in jpeg format with the dimensions 3.5x4.5 cm.
  
• You will also be required to upload a scanned copy of your signature in jpeg format with the dimensions 6x2 cm.
  
• Once you have finished filling the VITEEE 2016 Application form and submitting it, a VITEEE Application number will be generated which the candidate must carefully note down. This Application number will be required in further transactions.

VITEEE 2016 Selection Procedure

The VIT will publish the results for the VITEEE 2016 approximately 10 days after the last date of the exam.
The candidates can check their results by logging into their VIT account online.
The list will indicate the roll numbers of the candidates who have cleared the cut off marks.
The candidates will then be allotted seats and the counseling session will begin.
The cut off marks will be based on the number of candidates appearing for the VITEEE Exam and their performance.
However, candidates up to rank 20,000 are called for the counseling sessions.
