There is one state in India which has a huge fan following in terms of a holiday destination. That is Rajasthan. Be it someone from North India or someone from South India, be it from the West or from the East, Rajasthan has always been in everyone’s travel lists. The best thing about this state is that it is not the only one city which is worth visiting. Rajasthan is a package of an ultimate holiday destination with a package of beautiful cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Amer, Bikaner, Udaipur, Jaisalmer etc. Rajasthan maybe a state with a desert, but the cities that it has are complete gems of their own.

One of the most often visited cities and one of the most favourite cities among the tourists is Udaipur, the city of lakes. For the presence of the serene lakes, the city is often called as the “Venice of the East”. Udaipur is a magnificent city with extraordinary architecture as well. The city has numerous places to see and gorge into. Every stone with which the walls of the palaces had been built in the early times have their sorts of stories to tell. The Palaces that should be on every tourist’s list when one visits Udaipur are The City Palace, The one built right at banks of the most famous lakes of Udaipur, Lake Pichola. Its architecture is such that grandeur hails upon the eyes as one sees it. Then there is another one called the Lake Palace. It is situated right in the middle of the Lake Pichola. It's positioning, as an architectural piece is in amazement itself, that is, right in the middle of the ocean! It is a different thing that now it has been converted into a luxury hotel. The most interesting of them all is the Monsoon Palace. It is also known as the Sajjan Garh Palace. It is built pretty high on the Aravallis. In the earlier days, the purpose of building the palace on a good height was to get a better view of the approaching monsoon clouds, hence the name. There are some accommodation services to avail in order to be near this magnificent palace. For that, are some fabulous resorts in Udaipur near the Monsoon Palace.

Apart from just holidays, Udaipur has been a favourite spot for the destination weddings. For this, Udaipur is not to be blamed as who wouldn’t want to get married in a city which looks like a backdrop pulled out from a fairy tale! In these matters, the wedding resorts in Udaipur come to rescue for such situations. Such resorts make sure to provide all the arrangements required, holding a perfect destination wedding and they don’t refuse any one!
