Use Gps System To Keep Track Of The Load Transported By The Vehicle

by Falcon Trackers Tracking System
Effective fleet management is not just about knowing where your cars are at all times. Using vehicle tracking systems can increase productivity, cut down on fuel and insurance costs and streamline your organization to maximize efficiency.

Real-time vehicle tracking allows you to do all this without having to wait for someone to analyze data days or weeks later

Real-time tracking calculates the exact location of a vehicle at the present time, and constantly updates as time and vehicle position changes. Information about the vehicle is not delayed or registered for post-analysis, but uses precise GPS positioning and cellular network for communication, real-time update over phone. GPS systems that use satellite-based networks instead of just relying on the mobile network have the advantage of extended coverage, useful if your fleet operates in more remote locations.

Different technologies are used in real time vehicle tracking systems, including vehicle roof-based AVI and video imaging. While these commercial imaging systems work well in free flowing traffic, do they tend to be less efficient in confined situations or where housing causes shadows and light transitions to mask 'the location of the vehicle.

Knowing exactly where the vehicles are in real time gives the fleet a big advantage. It makes it possible to be far more streamlined in operation, which allows you to make changes to planned routes in the event of crises, casualties or other variables that may interfere with the usual routes taken by the vehicles. Something as simple as road construction can mean that a planned collection from a customer is delayed. By using real-time GPS tracking, a fleet manager can redirect the nearest car to a destination, saving time, money and, most importantly, keeping the customer happy.

Real time GPS Tracking can also help the fleet managers to keep an eye on the cab "of all vehicles on the road. The data sent back can immediately tell the fleet managers of all deviations from fixed routes, whether drivers use too high speed or even help drivers out if they are gone. Real-time tracking can also be used in emergency situations to alert police or emergency personnel to the exact location of a vehicle if it is stolen or involved in an accident. This also gives a fleet leader the ability to redirect other vehicles to cover the deliveries or pick-ups affected by such a situation.

School bus monitoring GPS tracking not only tells the fleet managers about the bus it can also be used to keep track of the load as well.  The most up-to-date systems themselves use 3 D modeling, which involves extracting paths and models with high accuracy. These systems work well on small and medium-sized fleets, but can be inherently complex on larger fleets. Region-based real-time tracking uses a system of overlay identifies a connected region in the image associated with each individual vehicle and lets it over time using a cross-correlation algorithm.
