UPSC IES/ISS 2015 Application Form Details

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Indian Economic Service (IES)/Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Exam is an essential step for those candidates who are thinking to plan a career as an officer in Statistics and Economics Department, Government of India. This exam is organized by UPSC, once a year, in the month of May in accordance with the guidelines, controlled by Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation in the gazette of India.   Through this exam, the recruitment of Economic and Statistical Service Group-A officers is done. The UPSC IES/ISS 2015 exam notification will be published on the official website in the beginning of February 2015 and the exam will be conducted on 23-05-2015 on Saturday at approximately 20 centres.

Eligibility Details for UPSC IES/ISS EXAM 2015- 

Prior to fill UPSC IES/ISS EXAM 2015 Application Form, candidates must have satisfy the below provided eligibility norms:

Educational Qualification - 

1). For Indian Economic Service (IES) – Candidate must have attained bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Economics/ Business Economics and Econometrics from a reputed / recognized university. 
2). For Indian Statistical Service (ISS) – Candidate must have attained bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Statistics or Mathematics from a reputed/recognized university. 

AGE LIMITATION - 

Candidate should be of 21 years (Min) and 30 years (Max) as on 1st August 2015. Date of birth will be verified with Matriculation Exam certificate. 

SELECTION PROCESS- 

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of written examination and on the basis of merit list, they will be called for the interview round. 

HOW TO APPLY ONLINE? 

To fill UPSC IES/ISS EXAM 2015 Application Form, Interested candidates should follow the steps mentioned below to reach at the location where they will find the way to apply online for the UPSC IES/ISS EXAM 2015.

APPLICATION FEES: 

For female/ SC/ST/PH candidates- Nil. 
For all other candidates- Rs. 200. 

Candidate can pay the fees in online or offline mode. After making payment, candidate will get the journal number or payment number and the application will be successfully submitted for examination. However, fee once paid will not be adjusted. Without application fee, no UPSC IES/ISS EXAM 2015 Application Form will be accepted.

UPSC IES/ISS EXAM PATTERN- 

The exam is divided into 2 parts i.e.
PART 1- Written exam. 
PART 2- Viva voice. 
The written exam carries 1000 marks with 200 marks for each section. The time given for each section is 3 hours each. 

The selected candidates will be called for viva voice/interview carrying a minimum of 200 marks.
