UPESEAT Eligibility Criteria

UPESEAT Eligibility Criteria mentions the minimum requirements which the candidates are required to satisfy in order to get admission to the undergraduate courses offered by University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. Only those candidates who satisfy the given norms will be able to appear for UPSEAT 2017. It is mandatory for the candidates to check the eligibility criteria such as academic qualifications, age, nationality etc. before registering for the entrance examination. In case the applicant is found to be ineligible, the application will be rejected by the concerned authority. Also, the application fee will not be refunded by the candidate.

UPESEAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria is as mentioned below-

• AGE:

Candidates must be born on or after 1^st October, 1995. The date of birth of candidates that has been mentioned in the grade sheet of Secondary Board Education will be considered authentic.

• NATIONALITY:

Students belonging to India as well as foreign countries can apply for UPESEAT 2017.

• ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION:

80% seats in UPESEAT 2017 will be filled through UPESEAT while 20% of the seats will get filled through Board merit/ JEE Main merit.

• UPESEAT 2017-

-Candidates must score 60% marks in higher level education as well as senior secondary level examination.

- Candidates must pass 10+2 with an aggregate of 60% marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics.

• BOARD MERIT-

-Candidates must score 80% at least in class 10^th and class 12^th.

-Candidates must pass 10+2 with at least 80% aggregate score in physics, chemistry and mathematics.

• JEE MAIN MERIT-

-Students must score a minimum of 60% marks in higher and secondary level examination. At least 60% aggregate must be scored in class 12^th in physics, chemistry and mathematics.

-The cut-off rank of JEE Main 2017 will be announced after the result of JEE Main 2017 is declared.

-After giving admission on the basis of board merit and JEE Main score, if there are any seats vacant, the University of petroleum and energy studies will offer admission to the students on the basis of scores obtained in UPESEAT 2017.
